Late Post!

Being on at 11:34 PM is not something to be proud of...whew...*sweat drops*

Well, I'm gonna log soon, but something awesome really happened today...

Usually on weekends I sack myself in front of my computer. But lately my computer has been having problems, and after many days and trials, my dad fixed it. Yay! *confetti* (It used to crash every ten minutes but now it doesn't <3 ) So as a celebration, at around 6:30 we went out to Moonstar buffet in Daly City. (It was a quick decision; my dad announced it five minutes before I dressed. It was a biiig surprise)

So then we arrived at Moonstar at around 7:09 PM, but there were huuge crowds of people there! What was there, a reunion? (No offense meant; reunions are awesome.) So my family and I ended up waiting 45 MINUTES. That's crazy, guys!! We finally got to eat at 8, and hopefully we all know that Moonstar stops serving food at 8:30.

Before we got to our table, the receptionist had to stuff four blue tickets into the black check pad thingamajiggy. Now I had no idea what those were. I guessed that it was a certificate for leaving the restaurant, to prove you were there for a reason. My dad guessed that it was a coupon. As if! All it had was six random numbers on it. Each ticket had a different number. Our tickets ranged from 066500 to 066504. We figured it was nothing, and ignored it.

So at 8:30 or so there is an announcement. "Raffle is gonna start soon!" And then we realized the blue tickets were meant for a raffle. Who cared, though? We NEVER win raffles. We're not a lottery-gambling family, I'm happy to say. So we just continued eating while the announcer called out random numbers. "066207." "066389." And then..."066502."

WAIT A SECOND. My brother and I were the only ones at the table with the tickets, and as my brother was playing his DS, I took charge and glanced at the tickets on my table. 066500....066501...066...502!!!

Well that got me going. I shook my brother hard and stuffed the ticket into his face. "We won! We actually won! Where's mom? Where's dad?" He put down his DS (credit to him, the gamer) and grabbed the ticket. In the distance, I could see my dad coming up. He had a big smile on his face, but before I could tell him "WE WON" he said, "I know! I know!" How's that for a memory?

So my dad and I zoomed over to the front desk with the ticket. Once we got there, we just stood, unsure what to do. Then I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned around. There was a lady dressed pretty neatly next to a crate full of bags of candy. "Did you win?" I nodded and handed the ticket over. She examined it, ripped it, put it down, and gave me one of the bags of candy. "Congratulations!"

Well, that got me going. It was my first winning raffle. Back at home, my brother and I split the candy. I got lollipops, bubblegum, M&M's, Hershey's Milk Chocolate, and more. I stuffed it all in a reaally cool metal plaid-ish box my friend gave me for my b-day. That was my Box of Sweets (BOS for short). And now, when I open it and look at it and see all the lollipops, Jolly Ranchers (I added those in; I had them for another b-day present), Butterfingers, well, I just felt happy inside. That event made my day!! THANK YOU MOONSTAR BUFFET!
