A Little Bit of Something

So school ended like usual, and this time I remembered to bring my gym uniform home. xD But I still have to turn in that dumb "absent" all-teacher-signing slip...I'm soooo late.

But after school, something funny sorta happened. As soon as I got home, I went straight to Microsoft Word and started typing some sort of news article. Here we go:

The Dark Side of Being Nice

By AjGirl

Ever heard of karma? You know, you do a good thing, something good happens to you, and if you do a bad thing, vice versa? Well, don’t have your whole life depend on karma, because it doesn’t always work.

Unknown grader Aj Girl, age unknown, and her mother were driving around in a car on Friday, October 6th at around 4 PM. Mrs. Girl was a very nice person who drove pretty well, and when another car came up from behind to meet her, she let it drive past her. Now, she had just arrived at her destination, and she had already picked out the perfect parking place: no meters, plenty of space, very close to the “37” dessert cafĂ©. And it was just ahead of her; she only needed to drive a few more yards, and she was there.

Aj was staring out of a side window, daydreaming, when her mother suddenly let out a yelp. “My parking! They stole my parking!” Aj’s head immediately snapped to face the very car her mother had let past, right in front of them-and slowly sliding into the parking space her mother had planned to go into. There was absolute silence.

“It took a while for my head to adjust,” Aj recalls. “I didn’t get what was going on. All I knew was that it was something bad that had happened; I mean, NO ONE would shout ‘They stole my parking!’ for no reason, right?” she adds.

That is right, Aj, something WAS wrong. Her mother had showed the same generous attitude that she usually showed-and paid the price. But luckily, Mrs. Girl had a sense of humor; her shock didn’t last long. In fact, by the time the Super Minor News kid reporters had reached her, she was laughing.

“It’s not really a big deal, and I can’t say that it was wrong,” she admitted. “But maybe I should stop being so nice. After all,” she adds, “it wouldn’t be fun if EVERYONE were nice, right?”

This case has been defined by the involved persons as minor, and has been filed into our “It’s Nothing, But It’s Interesting” folders.

Haha. Isn't it awesome? Comment if you like it :P (By the way, my real name and person info has been changed to "unknown" and "Aj Girl". I'm personal, deal with it :P)

Something else happened to that was minor! My dad was bidding on eBay, and he had 2 more minutes before a bid was decided. He was watching the computer carefully when I bumped into him, and, being the interested girl I am, I decided to watch. So there we were, staring intently at the screen, and all of a sudden I said "Do you think you'll win?" and started a conversation. In fact, we were so occupied, we forgot to watch the screen, and when one minute ticked away, we realized the bid had gone up! So we quickly rebid, but 20 seconds before the auction ended, the bidding price went up waaay past what my dad was willing to spend. So we gave up and guessed what price would win. I guessed 126, and my dad guessed 124. (that's in dollars, folks) As the seconds ticked away, the numbers changed: 118, 120, 122...Come on, a little more!...and as the last second showed up, the number changed to 125. It won. Sheesh, it just HAD to be a number that wasn't guessed, huh?
