A Really Nice Night

I know it's late, and I already posted, but I just HAVE to add this in. I just had dinner and it was one of those cooking-boxes-with-fire-and-requires-fuel-that-has-a-pot-on-it-and-the-fire-cooks-food-that-is-in-the-pot. It was reallly delicious-no rice today, like we usually have it. Just plain chicken and beef (sorry vegetarians) and vegetables and white rice noodles...and it's all nice, fresh, hot...and dosed in delicious oily hot tasty soup, tinged with slight, numerous, varied flavours...it was wonderful. But the best part was the talk. The men of my family (it's weird typing that phrase) are always so entertaining, and I often join in the conversation. The topics are really random, from about Bill Gates (good things, of course) to evolution to how we should, instead of saying "Oh God", say "Oh Science" or "Oh Aj"...whoever you believe in, if you are not religious...

Today it was totally random. And it was soo funny; I laughed so hard tears came to my eyes, and I even had to step out to the living room right next door to relax. I came out because of two topics. One was about how much hair my brother had. I shouted, "I HAVE WAY MORE HAIR!" and my whole family just burst out laughing...including me. It's nice to be who I am and still be appreciated. The other time was when we were talking about hair, and my dad remarked that my brother has finer hair than me. I asked whether we could clarify that, like a ruler or something. I was just joking, but then he said "Yeah we could, I have it downstairs right now." And I couldn't help but just thrust my head forward with a "SERIOUSLY!?" Then I burst out laughing, and my laughing made my family laugh with me. I excused myself and buried myself into the couch, trying to get a grip. I don't know why I laughed, but it felt good. I hope more dinners are like that.
