YESSHHH IT'S THANKSGIVING BREAK! See, this is the type of thing that keeps me alive. Even though it actually started yesterday, I only had time to post today. :3
Yesterday a bunch of my friends and I all went to BBC, or Bay Badminton Court, to play for a few hours. I happen to be somewhat experienced in badminton. It's a really great sport, and it gets your muscles going, and it's super fun. I went with a girl, age 11 (since I happen to be extremely private, I'll give them nicknames. This one's "Omg"), a girl aged 10 (TammPam), another girl aged 10 (Crimson) and a boy, TammPam's brother, aged 7 (Annoie). Of course our parents came along too. The time we spent on the court was almost nothing; we were having so much fun. I think I've improved-I can slam the birdie or shuttle almost all the way across out of bounds to the other side. But now my arms and neck are aching. :( Not a surprise, though.
After badminton we all went out to eat lunch together at a Chinese place. It was sooo yummy! There was macaroni in soup with peas and ham. There were rice noodles on a plate dathered (okay, I feel like I should make this word "dathered" even though it doesn't exist. This adjective/adverb/whatever refers to something being soaked in something, usually involved with cooking or sauces) in this brown, soy-like sauce that gave the noodles a real twist. There were juicy, hot fried chicken wings (sorry vegetarians >_<) and eggs. There were pieces of French Toast with something like butter in between. Yes, my friends, that was truly the meal for someone like me.
After THAT, we went to TamPam's and Annoie's house, which is an apartment room. Here I must stop for a minute. I called Annoie, Annoie, because he IS annoying. He happens to be spoiled and wants his own way, and during games, he doesn't hesitate to say that he's a "professional" and the others "suck" and "I WANNA PLAY THIS!" and doesn't falter in breaking some rules. But other than that, it was very fun in their apartment. We played WiiSports on their Wii, and I made a Mii account. We also went down to the garage (with parental permission and supervision, of course) and fooled around with TammPam's bike and played with one of those big-gish, soft balls made out of rubbery material (forgot what they were called). We played kickball, kickback, and more. We played until 7:40 and that's when our parents came to pick us up. Now THAT'S one way to spend a day in Thanksgiving break.
Today nothing special is happening. Tomorrow is our traditional family party with our cousins, uncles and aunts. But today, we're just kicking back and relaxing. Maybe we'll (my family) eat dinner at my grandmother's house. But other than that, it's the complete opposite of yesterday. Which is good because, as I said before, my arms and neck are aching.
